My name is Marta, an Italian illustrator, currently based in Italy. I have a background as a marine biologist and have grown up as a self-taught artist! I have a bachelor's degree in biology and a master's in marine sciences.
After my university years, I decided to take a year off and dedicate my time to making art and recharging from years of hard university commitment. A year later, I'm here as a full-time artist. The freelance life as an artist wasn't in my plan. I would have never expected to be able to live a dream life off of one of my passions.
Perhaps one day I will be able to unify my passion for art with my scientific background.
As a bookish artist, I'm specialized in book internal designs, influenced by everything witchy, folklore and dark fantasy with a touch of dark cottagecore/academia. A lot of my art is mainly inspired by my love for nature, fantasy and sci-fi. Besides drawing, I’m very passionate about scuba diving, biology and bunnies!

When I joined the book community, I didn’t have a clear idea of what to do. However, one thing became evident in many books: while they often featured beautiful covers, the internal art was often lacking in uniqueness. This inspired me to specialize in the internal art of books.
Now, I have a portfolio of over 100 authors with whom I have had the privilege to work, enriching the true essence of their stories with custom internal art.
My role is to guide you to find the perfect representation of your book fundamentals, helping your readers become more obsessed with your book.
